The Habitat for Humanity Women's Build Committee meets the Third Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM at the Portland Habitat Office, 1478 NE Killingsworth.  The Women's Build Committee works on all aspects of the build, which includes the planning process, recruiting and managing volunteers, organizing events, and raising money.  If you are interested in learning more about the committee please contact the Habitat office to confirm meeting time and location. 503.287.9529.

Tomorrow morning, The Healing and Empowerment Program at Quest Center offers an acupuncture clinic for Women with Cancer.  This is an ongoing, drop-in clinic from 9.30 to 11 am every Tuesday and Thursday morning. 
For first time visitors pre-registration required.  There is a sliding scale fee, but no one will be turned away for inability to pay. Group acupuncture for women with cancer offers support and community, relieves side effects of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation, and can reduce stress and anxiety, depression and other symptoms that may arise following treatment for cancer.
