Celebrating its second year with a wide array of experimental music, dance and film performances, a workshop, and panel discussion with the participating artists.
The Improvisation Summit of Portland 2013, produced by the Creative Music Guild, is a two-day festival being held at the Sandbox Studio in Northeast Portland from Friday, May 31 - Saturday, June 1, 2013.
Featured artists include: William Hooker from NYC, playing solo and leading a ensemble of locals; The Why I Must Be Careful Big Band; 1939 Ensemble; Golden Retriever; Battle Hymns and Gardens; Tere Mathern; Linda Austin; Dawn Stoppiello; plus, films presented by Cinema Project and the Experimental Film Festival, and much more.
TICKETS are available on a sliding scale for either a one-day ($12-18) or two-day ($16-40) pass. The Creative Music Guild has also launched an IndieGoGo Campaign to help raise money for the event.
