They'll be hosts for the L Word season preimiere Sunday Jan 6th at the Bagdad Theater

Voted the #1 column in CURVE in a recent reader's poll, Lipstick & Dipstick give punchy advice to the lesbian community, a measured blend of guidance, wit and sincerity from the femme and the butch perspective.

Talk is cheap, Free speech isn't

You may already know that KBOO did not meet our financial goal during our last pledge drive. The station relies on our listeners for a large portion of our operating budget. If you are not yet a member but enjoy what you hear on KBOO, please consider becoming a member today. Click the 'join now' icon in the upper right corner of the page and you will be taken to a secure page to make your contribution to this fine radio station.

And remember - talk is cheap. Free speech isn't.

If you give a damn, join now.

DJ Puppet Farewell

Tune in to tomorrow's Out Loud show (11/6 at 6 pm) for DJ Puppet's farewell! She's leaving town and you'll hear from her directly, as well as enjoy music she's chosen for her own going away. Puppet has been an incredible asset to our community and we're sorry to see her go. Join us as we celebrate her & her many contributions to PDX.

Out Loud volunteers needed

We need interested folks to get involved with creating this radio show. What else could be better than shamelessly promoting all things homo on the radio? There are many different ways that you can contribute to the show!

If you're already involved at KBOO, great! Contact me to contribute!  If you're not already involved at KBOO, the first step to getting involved is Volunteer Orientation. They happen monthly and the next one is Thur Nov 15 from 6 to 8 pm here at the station. Contact Ani, our Volunteer Coordinator, at, or call the station to sign up: 503-231-8032.
