Success! We raised $10k online in December

Thanks very much to our supporters who donated over $10,000 online last month

December was KBOO's third largest month ever for total dollars received through this website.  The other two months, involved a membership drive and another heavily-promoted special project.

Fall Drive Completed!

Categories:

Thanks to everyone who made a contribution to KBOO during our recently completed Fall membership drive.  We had a lot of great programming, involved many new volunteers and raised a whole bunch of money to keep ourselves on the air.  We did not achieve our fundraising goal of $130,000, but raised just slightly over $112,000.

If you haven't already paid your pledge with a card or by stopping in, please send your payment this month.  This is especially important due to the funding shortfall.

Fall Membership Drive Ends Wednesday

Categories:

We've extended our Fall drive by a few days so we get as close to our $130,000 goal as possible. It's all over Wedesday at noon even if we don't hit our financial goal. KBOO raises its annual budget each year with contributions from our membership accounting for about 80% of that money.  It's important to do your part since you value KBOO.

Fall Drive Extended to Wednesday October 20th

We're adding a few days to the Fall drive to make sure we can raise the funds needed by the station to keep itself funded for the next several months.  Our goal is $130,000 and you can contribute here, or simply pass the link along to friends who don't know about KBOO yet.

KBOO Board & Bylaw Election Results

Categories:

Dear KBOO Members-

Thank you for taking time to vote in our annual election. KBOO would like to congratulate Paula Small, Devin Russo, Chris Andreae, and Keller Henry, these four will be KBOO's new board members starting in October.

KBOO would like to thank Louis Sowa, Deena Barnwell and Ivonne Rivero for having served on the board of directors. We really appreciate the time and energy that you have dedicated to the station.

Neither bylaw proposal passed. In order for a bylaw change to be passed, it must receive 2/3 of voting total and not just a simple majority.

Results are attached.

Voting in KBOO's Annual Election

Categories:

We mailed ballots for our 2010 election to KBOO  members last week.  Member participation is highgly desired, so please take a little time in the next few weeks to carefully review the statements of board candidates as well as the proposed changes to KBOO's Bylaws before casting your vote.  The easiest way to vote is to drop your ballot in the envelope provided, sign the outside of it, stamp it and put it in the mail.

Spring Membership Drive Wrap Up

Categories:

Thanks very much to everyone who made a contribution during our Spring membership drive!

We concluded our drive at 7pm extremely close to our overall goal of $95,000.  We finished the on-air drive with $93,735, or 98.7% of the goal.  You can help make up this small gap by donating here.

Next week we'll finish entering all the pledge info into our database and order any thank you gifts that are not currently in stock.  Those will hopefully arrive by the first week in June at which point we'll send them out to you.

The end of the drive is within view

With less than 3 hours to go, we're now under $1500 away from our total Spring drive goal of $95,000.  This money comes from our listener-members and covers our basic operating expenses, which amount to $83 per hour or nearly $2000 / day.
