KBOO is a proud media sponsor Terrapin Event's Bridge to Brews 8K and 10K Run/Walk and Kid's 1/2 miler

Did you miss your opportunity to participate in the 2011Bridge to Brews? If you did, and you still want to participate and do something nice for your fellow earthlings, check this out by reading below.

We have talked it over here at our office at Terrapin Station, and the decision is unanimous. Even though we want to limit participation to insure we all have a good time, we can't ignore the obvious opportunity sitting right in front of us. It's an opportunity to allow a few of you who missed out on this years Bridge to Brews another opportunity to get involved, but more importantly it is an opportunity to raise a good amount of money in a very short period of time to help all those in Japan effected by the recent disaster.

We are releasing a few more entries for the 2011 Bridge to Brews. The cost per registration is $100, but we think it is well worth it. Included in the registration is entry into the 2011 event (of course), a 2011 commemorative bamboo t-shirt ($20), a special "Japanese" Bridge to Brews race bib (with the words Bridge to Brews written in Japanese) and the peace of mind knowing that you did something great to help out your fellow human beings.

We will donate the proceeds of your entry to Mercycorp to help the folks in Japan effected by the earthquake / tsunami / nuclear crisis. You can check out Mercycorp's involvement in helping Japan by clicking here.

You can register for these very special, very limited entries by clicking here. These entries are only available online and only good until Thursday April 14th at noon or until they are gone.

ABOUT ALS ASSOCIATION:
Since 2002, The ALS Association’s Oregon & SW Washington Chapter has been a lifeline for local people with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and their families. Our chapter serves the whole State of Oregon and the 6 counties in SW Washington, with an estimated 500 families, at any given time, living with ALS. These families turn to us for information, support groups, special equipment, respite care and guidance for coping with the day to day challenges. We are a Chapter of the National Organization that is the only not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. Ninety to ninety-five percent of those diagnosed with ALS have no family history of the disease. A fatal disease, ALS can affect anyone.

Our Mission: To lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
