The city of Portland will be shutting down a six mile loop of road in north Portland this sunday, as a part of its week long Car-free-portland confrance. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office">
KBOO’s Kyle Burris spoke with one of the event organizers, to get the details.
On Thursday, the
Oregon AFL-CIO picketed at three gas stations in the Springfield area. High gas
prices already are getting plenty of attention, but the labor federation says
the focus of the event was the lack of federal solutions to keep prices low, despite
political candidates' pre-election promises.
