What are the underlying reasons for the upsurge in food prices around the world?  What can be done about it?  The Executive Director of  Food First,  Eric Holt-Gimenez, lays it out for us in this conversation with the Old Mole's Bill Resnick.  Holt-Gimenez is also the author of Campesino a Campesino: Voices from Latin America’s Farmer to Farmer Movement for Sustainable Agriculture, published by Food First.
