A Show For Jeff

Please tune in this morning , as we remember
Jeff K,
a long-time very good friend of mine
who recently left this world.
Jeff loved music ; in fact
he was a "singer in a rock & roll band".
He also loved his friends and family,
and had a way of brightening
up any room he wandered into.
Join us as we spin some of Jeff's favorite tunes,
as well as a fun surprise or two!

On this morning's show  we are
featuring the works of two distinctly different groups
coming to the Rose City this week.
First, the musical fireworks
of  "Zappa Plays Zappa",
coming to the Roseland  Theater this Friday.
To quote Dweezil- "This one's hard to play"
And then to close out the
show, we'll bring the tempo down a bit
with the local sounds of
The Druthers,

Silverhawk in Studio 3/27/2012

program:
Vinyl Pajama Party
program date:
Tue, 03/27/2012

Here is the Audio from My Program- and  the description from my web posting:

This morning we are very pleased have "live", in the studio... (Ok, not really "live" per - say, but recorded live!) two of the four members of "Silverhawk"! That's right - Brian will be featuring the music of this local “Oregon bred” band, alongside some conversation with John and Sam, the founding brothers of Silverhawk. We’ll be playing selected tracks from their stylistically varied back catalogue, a couple of live tunes, and their most recent release:"The Forest For The Trees”. So be sure to tune in and ENJOY! This program will be Pod Cast a few days after airdate, so check back!

(Silverhawk will be playing here in Portland, April 6th at Biddy McGraw’s)
