Queer History from KBOO's Archives

In honor of June being Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month month, Treasures from the KBOO Vault will be listening to 2 pieces of queer public affairs aired on KBOO in the 1990's.

The first piece we will hear was recorded on National Coming Out Day, October 11th, 1991, for the Old Mole Variety Hour by Andy Simon.

Our second piece we will hear on tonights program is a panel discussion recorded in 1998 at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's Creating Change Conference. This panel of activists will be discussing the issue of globalisation, and how it fits into the queer agenda, and how too often, it does not fit into the queer agenda.
