The Permitted Coup

It is the Season to  review. Review the past year and the almost past Bush administration, that is.. The media and many people I know seem eager to believe that the new Obama Administraion will bring a fundamental change to the functioning of the Federal government and the totalitarian policies it has been carrying here at home and the Superpower violence it has been visiting to people all over the globe. This is a hopeful view but not one I share. We have been living within a country taken over by a Coup. If you doubt my use of that word I refer you to  Jane Mayers Book, The Dark Side or Eric Lichtblau's Bush's Law and my interviews with them.

Short Description:
The New Congress and the Economy

Next week the new U.S. Congress will begin working with a new administration in the White House. Behind the smiles and calls for cooperation, there's already signs of differences between both sides of the congressional aisles and the president elect. How will this play out as Congress and the new president face the challenge of turning the economy around?

This week on Voices from the Edge, Jo Ann and Dave look at what we can expect from the new Congress, its relationship with the new president and what that means in terms of fixing the economy.

” The End Of An Error"(The W Years) 1/20/09 3am

As 2009 dawns anew, we find our nation facing the hope and promise of a new administration and the anticipation of something different- an historical change to truly believe in. But before we can honestly move forward, it might be useful (if not somewhat amusing and painful) to look back over our collective shoulders on the last eight years - lest we forget our past. So it is with great pride and fanfare that Brian presents, for your aural (dis) pleasure on Inaugural Day the 20th day of January:” The End Of An Error"(The W Years). We will "sound trace" the rise and fall...and fall....
