Air date:
Tue, 03/03/2009 - 9:00am - 10:00am

Chris Andreae hosts this special featuring the voices of members of the RNC 8. They organized the Welcoming Committee that greeted Republicans as they streamed into the Republican National Convention in the Twin Cities. Eight people have been charged with the crime of political organizing. The arrests targeted known organizers in an attempt to derail 2008 anti-RNC protests in St. Paul before the convention had even begun. The RNC 8 were originally charged with conspiracy to riot in the second degree in the furtherance of terrorism, a felony which is the first ever use of Minnesota’s Patriot Act.
