this was a show to honor and celebrate the life of charles stepney, one of the greatest arrangers and producers whe ever lived...  he was most famous for working with artists such as minnie ripperton and earth, wind & fire.  he also worked as an A&R for chess records for a time, and did the arrangements on muddy waters' controvercial (now deemed cult) album, 'electric mud'.  also, there was a portion of a speech angela davis made in february at reed college.  she spoke about the prison industrial system and how it plays out in this age.
