To Vote or Not to Vote ... Black!

We live in "the whitest city in America". Are votes by the Black community in Portland acknowledged & respected? Are Blacks expected to vote ... "Black"? What does that mean anyway?

Listen in, but better yet, JOIN us in the conversation by calling (503) 231-8187 and sharing YOUR views about the importance of exercising our voting rights!

Superwoman: The Curse of the Black Woman

Co-host Nia will be back next month, but tonight on the 'Drop, I welcome special guests Taaj Middleton and Leilani Miller. Mrs. Miller is the Executive Director of Millennia Ministries, a non-profit dedicated to helping women & children transition to stable lives.

We will explore the ideal of the "strong Black woman" or the "Superwoman Syndrome". It is as much as a blessing, as a curse and we'll tackle the issues faced by Black women surrounding self-esteem and bearing too much burden.

Listen in and hear as I explore this important topic with our guests.

The film is in its final stage of production and needs your support: http://awe.sm/5nU93 .
