Dmae Roberts presents a two-part special on the Fishtrap writing program in Joseph, Oregon in the heart of the Wallowas. She went to the summer gathering in July and talked with writers about the art of writing. Part One features Writer Kim Stafford and Rich Wanschneider who co-founded Fishtrap. She also talked with Rick Bombasci the Executive Director.

Producer Tali Singer profiles Portland Music Therapist Marion Van Namen. As part our continuing series of features on Stage and Studio with Dmae Roberts… Tali Singer brings us a side of the arts used for therapy. According to the American Music Therapy Association, music can help children and adults with disabilities or illnesses. Marion Van Namen, a music therapist in Portland says when a person makes music, it gives her a picture of who they are as a human and that helps her open them up to possibilities to improve their lives.
