Tribute to Judy Bari
This is a recording from the KBOO archives, of Judy Bari speaking in 1994 in Portland. Judy Bari was a renowned environmental, labor and social justice leader. She organized nonviolent protests against destructive corporate logging of the redwood forests. She died of breast cancer on March 2, 1997.

Bringing Haiti Home: A Journalist Looks Back; Interview with Kimberly A.C. Wilson
Kimberly A. C. Wilson is a reporter for the Oregonian newspaper and was sent to Haiti after the January earthquake to cover stories related to the Pacific Northwest. This radio program is taken from interviews conducted by Kboo host Linda Olson-Osterlund and provide a personal look back at her trip to Haiti.

1) Jackie - talking about the Angola 3 and the hurricane.
2) Stanley - talking about being inside Orleans Parish Prison during Katrina
3) Dale - arrested post-Katrina and put in the Greyhound bus station prison.
4) Stacey - arrested for curfew violation and held in the flooded OPP.
5) Eric Torrance - brutalized and taken to Greyhound jail.

2) Daniel Frelix - arrested post-Katrina, taken to Greyhound jail.
3) David Luke - arrested pre-Katrina - was HIV-positive, and due to the ordeal of surviving the flood in OPP, and being held outside and at the Hunts prison, contracted AIDS.
