"Eve's Garden" was a KBOO program from the late 70's until the late '80s. It was hosted by Annabeth "Eve" Parker Jamieson, who died in early January. Eve's Garden informed Portlanders about organic gardening before many people knew about it. "Eve" interviewed knowledgable guests and opened the phone lines to take calls from area gardeners, from beginners to the very experienced.

Eve's daughter, Alexandra Jamieson, and her son, Brendan Jamieson, were both influenced by their mother's work. "Alex" became a vegan chef and was featured in the documentary "Super Size Me." Brendan helped with his mother's radio show as a young child.

More people are incarcerated in U.S. prisons and jails than in any other country in the world. With just five percent of the world’s population, America has twenty-five percent of the world’s prison population.

This workshop examines how the “war” on drugs led to the current mass imprisonment of people of color, who comprise half of the over two million people incarcerated in U.S. prisons and jails; how mass imprisonment has devastated poor and low income communities of color; why mass imprisonment is slavery; and proposes how to organize people of color to fight to end mass imprisonment.

A special program on how we can achieve peace with justice
With the breakdown of peace talks, expansion of settlements, and harsh rhetoric currently passing for 'dialogue' in the Israel-Palestine conflict, it's sometimes hard to have hope that this entrenched conflict can come to a peaceful resolution.

On this special program, we'll show you that there is still reason to hope.  Max Blumenthal, Miko Peled, and Ali Abunimah are all deeply involved in this issue, and all have this in common: they believe that there will be peace with justice in Israel-Palestine in our lifetimes.

We'll bring you the voices of an Israeli, a Palestinian and an American who are on the frontlines in the struggle for a just peace in Israel-Palestine.
