Local, state and national election coverage on KBOO community radio

The Abe and Joe Talk Radio Show on 11/09/10

Air date:
Tue, 11/09/2010 - 8:00am - 9:00am
Short Description:
Abe and Joe return with an election post-mortem and the path forward for progressives.

The story of the 2010 midterms -- depending on your perspective -- is one of opportunity lost. President Obama and the Democrats were swept into office in 2008 on a wave of populist optimism, with all their stars aligned. The country seemed poised for a neo-Rooseveltian turnover, a new New Deal.

Reality, of course, turned out to be different. Two years later, the GOP has taken control of the House. Abe and Joe look over the wreckage of Election Day, both local and national, and try to plot a path forward for progressives.
