The House of Sound, a community and culutral space, memorialized

Tonight we are looking back at Portland History, and listening to rememberances of the House of Sound, a record store that was cultural and community space for the African American community. The building was knocked down in 2009.

We have interviews with Clifford Walker, Mel Renfro, Ken Dickson, and David Dawson, and play exerpts from Yugen Rashad's 5 hour tribute that aired on KBOO Feb 14, 2009, which featured David Dawson, Cleo Smith, Billy Holt, Woodrow Wilson, Jr., Keedah Giannetti, and Wone.

Thanks to all those who helped make this possible, including Vanessa Renwick, and Charles Bedford.
