chaka khan...  chaka khan...  the name is reminiscent of experiences which reject boundaries, and welcome pride!!!  for this fall membership drive, we will be honoring one of the most recognizable voices on earth; the one who has maintained the spirit of chaka adunne aduffe hodarhi karifi- the name given to her by an elder (while she was a panther)- taking a journey from her days with rufus, right up to her forays into jazz, pop, rock and some in-betweens...  as with the 'guess who's coming to radio??!!' tradition, we will be playing the hidden gems, album cuts, live performances...  and a little bit of chaka on the drums!!!
