This show began with two nice tunes from the famous Keystone 7-10-73 in which from two shows a live album was culled from.  This period is arguably Garcia's peak period as a guitar player in which he was playing at a very high level with three totally different bands!!  The 'blues' jam exemplefied how alot of the songs were born from with the "Blues For Allah" album, long open ended jams leading to a structured tune.  The 5-15-70 is another fine example of 1970 GD and is dedicated to the memory of Ron McKernan(AKA Pigpen) in which 3/8 is the 37 year anniversary of his passing and ironically, the same day as the Furthur show at the Coliseum.  See ya' next month!!

Greetings Fellow Space Travelers!

Well, Here we are at the end of February!  My Oh My how time flies! We began this busy broadcast period with a cut dedicated to the late Doug Pete, who was a real fan of the song "Into The Mystic". In his honor, we aired the cut from a KSAN fm broadcast from 09-05-71 featuring no other than Van Morrison.  Introducing "Van The Man" was Tom Donahue. After that, we celebrated the 41st anniversary of the Ultimate Dark Star recorded on 02-27-69 at the Fillmore West. This is the Dark Star that all Dark Stars are compared to.
