Here at THE MELTING POT, International music is our favorite flavor. From week to week we feature Bands, Djs, Producers, and Genres from all over the globe featuring Trip-Hop, Downtempo, Electro, Breaks, Dub and this week THE FUNK. Its not that weve never played funky stuff we just havent focused on it. My purpose is to turn you on to as much music as possible that can not be heard anywhere else. We have Featured Artists on the show to give you a point of reference in this beautiful world of International Eclectronica, but tonight we focus on a genre that has only been touched on in the past. Featuring Artists like Calagad 13 and Javier Morallis (Spain), Flow Dynamics and Slynk (Aus), The Beatvandals and Nick Thayer (UK). Tonight we take a journey through the dancefloors of the world traveling from one continent to another through seemles blends of recent Funk N Breaks releases in hope to educate and entertain. This can also be used as a preview for the KBOO Benefit this Fri 1/22/09 @THEWHISKYBAR in SW Portland as this will be my main focus for the dancefloor (please see flyer below).
