Out Loud
program date:
Tue, 03/09/2010

Tonight's queer radio hour discussions range from local work toward queer sex positivity to a nationally known stand-up comedian. A real queer cornicopia, or maybe we could call it a pornicopia, if the FCC isn't listening......

Carla, host of Out Loud, talks with Portland locals Darklady and Sophia St James about two upcoming queer sex-positive events, including visits from F2M Porn Star Buck Angel.

Next, we hear from Cameron Esposito :: queer Chicago-based standup comic who is preping for 2 shows in Portland. She was voted Best Comic in 2008 by Chicago Snubfest and was a Finalist for Best Female Comic in 2007 for the Chicago Comedy Awards. Her new CD is "Grab Them Aghast".

In April, Out Loud celebrates 8 years of shamelessly promoting all things queer on the radio! We couldn't do this without you, our listening community - especially our listener members. Thank you for your support.

And thank you for listening. Until next time, stay proud and live out loud.

Celebrating what sets us apart

program:
Out Loud
program date:
Tue, 01/12/2010

It's time to celebrate what sets us apart! The queer community is judged and treated differently for our private lives. Tonight we embrace and celebrate local queer sex-positivity on Out Loud.

Krissy Fiction, from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence joins us to talk about BOINK! a porn benefit for the Sisters' Grant Fund and Cascade AIDS Project. Boink is happening Sat, January 23rd Invasion Nightclub.

The event was born when a donor gave Cascade AIDS Project 800 porn DVDs and tapes.  CAP contacted the Portland Sisters and suggested a partnership to have the Sisters hold a porn-themed event as a fundraiser for both organizations.  BOINK! came into existence as a sexy, naughty, and most of all, FUN way to raise some money!

All proceeds from the raffle and sales will go directly to the Sisters Grant Fund and to CAP. So all monies raised will be going directly back to the Portland community.

Between interviews, Billy Brag's song 'Sexuality' celebrates what sets us apart - sex!

Darklady also joins Out Loud this evening to discuss her work, her parties, and more!

We also celebrate Dirty Queer's 3rd Birthday, which happened Fri Jan 8. We'll hear from Sossity, MC for and creative force behind DQ, as well as dirty queers (from the audience) on what they like best about this monthly event!

As always, we'll share a variety of community announcements and event listings.  If you have something to share with our community, let me know: outloudradio@gmail.com
