This past Sunday, December 17th, was the two hundred and thirty-fourth anniversary of the Boston Tea Party.

Just as the colonists revolted against King George, Code Pink staged their own revolt against President George W. Bush in Portland.
Hundreds gathered as protestors dumped their own organic tea into the Willamette River.
Crystal Elinski has the story.

FCC relaxes rules on print consolidation, tightens on Cable TV

A divided Federal Communications Commission voted yesterday to relax one rule banning corporate ownership of a newspaper and broadcast station in the same city. The ruling also tightened the growth of big cable television companies.

Oregon Reduces Emissions that Cause Global Warming

Oregon is reducing emissions that cause global warming, faster than many developing countries, according to a new report from the National Environmental Trust.

It shows the U.S. is the leader in greenhouse gas pollution — but states like Oregon are taking the lead on reducing those emissions in the future.
