What will happen to Umatilla Mustard Gas?

A private meeting was held today concerning chemical agent waste issues at the Umatilla Chemical Agent Disposal Facility near Hermiston, Oregon.  
The issue at stake is how to dispose of one  ton containers of mustard gas. These containers account for nearly 70 percent of the entire stockpile at Umatilla.

Kboo’s Jenka Soderberg spoke with Richard Condit, a senior council with the Government Accountability Project earlier today.

An update now on the homeless in New Orleans.  Last month, the New

Orleans City Council Voted to demolish hundreds of units of public housing.

Now residents are forced to live on the street and are unable to return to their homes.

Yesterday a march was staged to bring attention to the situation.

A group of hunting and fishing advocates says the Bureau of Land Management’s new plan for public lands in Western Oregon focuses too much on increasing timber production and creating “ATV playgrounds,” and not enough on saving fish and wildlife habitat.

Basic Rights Oregon had expected to host tonight.

     This follows the news that a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order on Friday, delaying the implementation of Oregon's new Domestic Partnership law.
