Anti-War Rally
ON TUESDAY EVENING AT THE US ARMY AND MARINE RECRUITING CENTER IN NORTHEAST PORTLAND, A SMALL AND VARIED GROUP OF PEOPLE CAME TOGETHER TO PROTEST THE WAR IN IRAQ.
ARRIVING IN ONES AND TWOS, THEY CAME WITH SIGNS, BANNERS AND GUITARS.
ONE WOMEN EVEN BROUGHT TWIRLING FLAGS FOR PEACE.
FOR MOST OF THOSE PARTICIPATING IN THE PROTEST, THIS IS A REGULAR DESTINATION, EVERY TUESDAY AT FIVE O’CLOCK.

LNG in Coos Bay
Three different sites on Oregon’s Coast are being targeted by Liquefied Natural Gas, or LNG, companies as possible sites for Import Terminals.
In addition to the Bradwood location in northern Oregon, the coos bay estuary on the south coast has also been scoped.
