I love Seattle!  Great food, great spots, awesome blogs, and tons of dope artists! "Why don't you marry it then?"  I don't have to- Seattle invades PDX this weekend.    SameDna (fourth city, trasy trash) comes down,  and spreads mad love via the airways.   This guy is beastly!  Check out his newly released mix:

Hi, I'm Diane Karl from the morning "folk-strip".

I'd like to let you know about the MusicBox Project, a non-profit organization seeking to document American roots music.  The directors are Dyann & Rick Arthur from Mill Creek WA.  As part of their effort they have their own channel on YouTube:

Right now you can watch a well-done short film entitled "Americana Women:Roots Musicians - Women's Tales & Tunes" with oral histories and performances of female performers in many areas of roots music.

Roane Namuh stops by The Soundbox tonight

Rain, cougar sounds, and podcasts held us this week!  So much good stuff on the interwebs, and on the way to the city.  We'll keep you posted.   So have you been checking into the Fader Podcasts?!?!  Don't be silly- super good mixes, and playlists to see where to go get em- check it here.   Also Plug Research has some new new to give you- a free compliation of some dope folks like Sonnymoon, Thavius Beck, and Sene.  NBD- just a blueprint for what they'll be lacing us with this Spring- don't sleep.  Click here.
