Things were happening as normal: a enlightening weekly conversation (this time on the state of hip hop) with dear brother Tony Muhammad... and then Africa Baby Bam of legendary group the Jungle Brothers phones in and drops some knowledge; making this an even more enlightening experience! Much respect to Baby Bam, and to Tony.
This is an interview with Ramona Africa, the only surviving adult member of the MOVE organization, whose home was bombed in 1985. She served time in prison for 7 years, for charges of conspiracy, riot and multiple counts of simple and aggravated assault. She has since become the MOVE Minister of Communication, as a representative speaking out for the MOVE 9, and others who have been held/detained in prisons (source: www.onamove.com). In her experiences she has internationalized the struggles of various groups, and sees the interconnectedness of all species.
