Link River Dam Shut Down: Sucker Fish Saved???

PacifiCorp has agreed to shut down power production at the Link River Dam near Klamath Falls in the late summer and early fall.

It’s part of an agreement made with the conservation group “Oregon Wild,” to save endangered sucker fish that migrate into Upper Klamath Lake.

The 22-foot dam is old and may be decommissioned – but until then, it will close from about mid-July to mid-November.

The man's arms and legs were bound, and his mouth was gagged.

Strangely, the police have announced that they believe the death is a suicide.

United Farmworkers Petition Whole Foods Corp. to Organize

The United Farm Workers have filed a petition of 13,000 signatures to Whole Foods Corporation in Texas.

The petition calls on the company to allow farmworkers in Oregon and Washington to unionize.

Coca-Cola Blocks Public Report of Dasani Water

In the leadup to its annual meeting, Coca Cola, Incorporated has blocked a shareholders' resolution to publicly report test data on its bottled water brand, Dasani.
