Ellen Lesperance was Eva Lake's guest on August 19th. Lespernace will show at Adams and Ollman in September. This was the final show for Lake, who leaves KBOO.

James Lavadour was Eva Lake's guest on August 5th. He has a show up at PDX Contemporry this month.

Elise Wagner was Eva Lake's guest on July 8th. She had a show at Butters Gallery.

Theresa Weil is doing a project called "Because She Cares," paintings of leaders in the non profit world. She was our guest in July 1, 2014.

Eva Lake  interviewed Sean Healy on June 17th. He currently has a show at the Elizabeth Leach Gallery.

Lisa Kaser and Grace Weston were our guests on April 8th. They had a show called Unfamiliar Faces at Waterstone Gallery.

Eva Lake hosts a tribute to Portland photographer and curator Terry Toedtemeier, who died last week.  Guests include his widow, Prudence Roberts, gallery owner Jane Beebe, and John Laursen, co-author of the book, Wild Beauty, with Toedtemeier. 

Terry Toedtemeier was the Portland Art  Museum’s first curator of photography. He also was co-founder of the Blue Sky Gallery in 1975 and served as its co-director. In 1980 he became Professor of Art and History at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, teaching photography and studio classes.

Her show, titled "Creation/chaos" will be up the entire month of December at the Froelick Gallery in the Desoto Building in NW Portland.

The guest is Garth Clark, esteemed critic, dealer and historian.  Clark will give a free lecture tonight at 6:30 at PNCA on "How Envy Killed the Crafts Movement: An Autopsy in Two Parts." One of craft’s most influential thinkers, Clark has edited and contributed to over 50 books and is author of over 200 essays and articles. Curator Namita Gupta Wiggers of the Museum of Contemporary Craft will also be part of the interview.

Host Julie Bernard interviewed local artists Remedios Rapoport and Jacquelyn Bond about  Women’s Art: Women’s Vision at the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center.  Celebrating the theme of 2008’s National Women’s History Month Remedios Rapoport takes the traditional Argentinean art of Filete (elaborate sign painting) and puts a contemporary message for empowerment and action into each piece. She will present her work, act as guest curator and mentor an emerging artist also working with women and political empowerment. Jacquelyn Bond is a young artist who paints water color illustrations and creates beautiful political pin ups.
